Investment

Counseling is an investment in yourself, your family, and your future. It is not just an investment of money, but of your time too. You didn’t get to this point overnight, and it’s going to take some time to get you to where you want to be. I love helping people with their problems, and I am committed to helping you reach your goals.

Working with me includes the following benefits:

  • The option for either in-person or online therapy. Sometimes meeting in-person is best but sometimes you might want to stay in the comfort of your home or office without having to drive across town through traffic. I offer both options to my clients.

  • A client portal that allows for scheduling and rescheduling online as well as text or email reminders. I know that you are busy. I want to make scheduling as easy as possible.

  • Coordination with other treatment providers, as needed, to ensure that you receive the very best care available.

  • You have access to a counselor who has specialized experience, knowledge and training in trauma, anxiety, and addiction issues.

    Fees

  • Currently I have very limited availability. If you are needing a specific time or day for scheduling please email me for open time spots or to be put on the waitlist.

  • $175 for 60 minute – standard session

  • $260 for 90 minutes - extended session

  • $700 for four hours - EMDR Intensive - Current clients only

Forms of Payment: Check or Card. You can store your card information in the client portal to make payments more convenient.

I am not in-network with any insurance company. I am considered an out of network provider.

Some people do want to use their health insurance benefits. You are welcome to contact your health insurance provider and learn about their policies for Out of Network providers. In some instances, your health insurance will reimburse you for a portion of services. And I am happy to provide you a super-bill to file with them.

Have more questions or ready to get started?

I offer free 20-minute online consultations. Counseling is a huge commitment. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I would love to chat.

For clients who are unable to afford my full fee, I offer a limited number of sliding scale slots through Open Path.

*At this time all my sliding scale slots are full. I do not anticipate any sliding scale availability in the near future. I encourage you to find another provider through Open Path who is able to meet your needs this year.

I have chosen not to work with insurance companies for a few reasons.

Man finding a counselor to help with PTSD in Ocala, Florida
  • I am required to say that you have a mental health disorder for your health insurance to cover your services. Even if you just need to talk or have questions, I have to give you a mental health diagnosis in order for your insurance company to pay for the session. I believe that diagnosing someone with a mental health disorder is a big deal, and should not be taken lightly and for the most part, I do not feel that one session is enough time for me to give you a label that might stay with you for the rest of your life.

  • Privacy - Your health insurance company will have access to your personal information. Someone who you and I have never met will legally have access to very personal details about what you are going through. The health insurance company can review your records whenever they want, even many years after you complete counseling. I understand and respect your right to maintain your privacy, regardless of your reasons.

  • Your health insurance company decides how many sessions and what type of therapy you can receive. A stranger will determine your care, even if it’s not the best decision for you. This scenario just does not sit right with me. I want my clients to be able to receive the very best care possible, whether or not some person at an insurance company agrees with it or not. I want to spend my time helping my clients, not fighting with an insurance company that has never even met you.
